Suzanne and I both found this image of several varieties of lichen on a crepe myrtle branch deeply affecting, given our designation of lichen as mentor for a world that would be more peaceful, generous and beautiful. With my encouragement, she created a companion mixed media work to further explore the lichen’s soulfulness.
