In 2014, Lynne and Suzanne were invited to deliver the annual Women and Gender Studies Scholars Lecture at George Mason University, where both had been long-time faculty members. Epistemologies of the Studio: Artists Reimagining the World was a collaborative artists’ talk and performance that celebrated creativity and artistic research as vital forces in pursuing social justice. The performance took place on November 11, 2014.

Epistemologies of the Studio then became the basis for their 2015 performance entitled The World Hangs by a Thread of Verbs and Nouns at the 2015 meeting of the International Society for Poetic Inquiry (ISPI) in Vancouver, BC.
